Why Sleep Cycles Matter

Sleep moves through cycles of about 90 minutes. Waking at the end of a cycle feels easy, while waking mid-cycle leaves you groggy.

Bedtimes fall into step with your natural sleep cycles.

This tool counts back or forward in full cycles, then adds 15 minutes to fall asleep. Aim for five or six cycles a night.

Pick a wake time and it lists the best bedtimes, or choose to sleep now and see ideal wake times.
